The situation
The 432F is the kind of machine that is on every second site: loading in the morning, trenching in the afternoon, road travel in between. It is rarely the biggest machine on the job, but it is the one that has to be available. On this loader the AdBlue system was the reason it was not – recurring fault messages, warnings that interrupted work and standstill while the cause was looked for. Each incident cost the contractor time and money without a mechanical fault behind it.
The request was twofold: a machine that runs without after-treatment warnings, and more usable power for loading and trenching.
What we did
The engine ECU was read and the file developed for this software version.
- Stage 1: injection quantity, rail pressure and boost adjusted within the limits of the stock hardware – more torque where the loader and backhoe hydraulics demand it, with a stable delivery across the working rpm range.
- AdBlue/SCR: dosing and level monitoring deactivated in software, related DTCs and the derate strategy handled. The machine no longer depends on DEF supply or on SCR sensors that throw faults.
Checksum corrected and the file written to the ECU.
The result
No unnecessary fault messages, no interruptions from AdBlue warnings and a noticeably stronger engine under load. The loader works faster at the bucket and the backhoe, and it stays on site instead of waiting for a diagnosis. For the contractor this means longer, more productive working days and fewer workshop visits. Files for the 432F are developed from the original read of each machine, not from a generic base – the software version decides what the file looks like.
