Four Dimsport releases from September and October matter for off-highway work – all of them for TheGenius. From now on Dimsport is part of this weekly digest alongside Alientech and Autotuner. We left out the car, motorcycle and pick-up releases (including the Cummins CM2450B for RAM pick-ups) on purpose.
Bosch ECM4 – TheGenius, bench
Dimsport calls it a world first: the Bosch ECM4 engine ECU of the Volvo Group, fitted since 2022, can now be read and written in bench mode through its connector, without opening the housing. Named are Volvo FH / FH Aero and FM, Renault Trucks T / T High and C, and Mack Anthem and Pinnacle. Release note →
Bosch MD1CS069, MD1CS089, MD1CE101 – TheGenius, HVR unlock and bench
The new HVR mode unlocks protected MDG1 units with Infineon AURIX TC298/TC299 built from 2021 onwards. For off-highway machines Dimsport released plugin 2141 (MD1CS069: Carraro, John Deere, Massey Ferguson), 2140 (MD1CS069: CNH, Landini, McCormick), 2127 (MD1CS089: Deutz) and 2136 (MD1CE101: CNH, FPT, Iveco). The unlock is done with the ECU opened, one resistor temporarily removed and the HVR adapter cable F36TG108; the ECU is then closed and read on the bench. Caterpillar ADEM III and A6M12 – TheGenius, open mode
Plugin 2143 covers the ADEM III (MPC555/556) on the Caterpillar 966K wheel loader (9.3 L, 219 kW), plugin 2126 the A6M12 (MPC5777C) on the 308 CR, 309 CR and 310 excavators (3.3 L, 51.8 kW). Both run in open mode, so the ECU has to be opened. Release note →
Bosch MD1CE100 (MAN) – TheGenius, HVR unlock and bench
Plugin 2130 brings the HVR unlock to the MD1CE100 of current MAN trucks; Dimsport names the TGX, TGS, TGM and TGL. After the unlock the ECU is read and written on the bench through its connector. This plugin needs tgOS 3.3.0.0 / firmware 1.10.0.0.0. Release note →
