The situation
A compact loader does a lot of work for its size: bales, pallets, muck, gravel, often on a slope and often with the bucket full. The Fuchs F 1244 runs a 2.1-litre Yanmar with 48 hp from the factory, and the operator felt the limit every time the loader had to push into a heap or climb with a load. The request was a Stage 1 file – more usable power without touching the hardware and without losing the simplicity that makes the loader easy to maintain.
What we did
The Bosch EDC17CV54 was read and the file developed for this software version.
- Stage 1: 48 → 60 hp, a gain of 25 percent. Injection quantity, boost and the related parameters were adjusted within the limits of the stock Yanmar, with the extra torque placed where a loader needs it – low in the rpm range, when the machine pushes into the load.
- Efficiency: the calibration is set up so that the engine works more efficiently at the same job, not just harder.
Checksum corrected and the file written to the ECU. No hardware was changed, so service intervals and robustness remain as they were.
The result
+12 hp and noticeably more push when the bucket is full. For the operator this means faster loading cycles, a loader that keeps its speed on the ramp with a load and less effort for the heavy jobs around the yard, in the field or on a small site. Software-only means the F 1244 stays as simple and maintenance-friendly as it was.
