The situation
Not every customer wants maximum power. This 6190 spends most of its hours in transport, mowing and light tillage – partial load, where a stock calibration is tuned for emissions rather than efficiency. The goal was a tractor that pulls better at low rpm and burns less diesel per hour, without touching the hardware limits.
What we did
Our Eco file for the EDC17CV56 shifts the torque curve towards lower rpm and optimises injection timing and rail pressure for partial-load efficiency. Power rises moderately as a side effect; the main gain is in torque where the operator actually drives.
- Eco calibration: optimised injection timing, rail pressure and boost for the 1,100–1,700 rpm range.
- Moderate power increase within the limits of engine, transmission and PTO.
- Individually developed for this software version, checksum corrected.
The result
The operator can drive a gear higher at the same speed, with lower fuel consumption per hour and a calmer engine. Over a season this adds up to real money for a tractor that is on the road and in the meadow every day.
